BeerFest is back
HALIFAX—Beer lovers can get their fill at the fourth annual Halifax Seaport BeerFest, August 13-14.
More than 4,000 people are expected to attend to sample 150 beers and ciders from Atlantic Canada and around the world.
“We saw tremendous growth last year, experiencing our first session sell-out on Saturday evening," said festival co-chair, Bruce Mansour.
“In addition to strong support among local beer lovers, we've started getting tourists scheduling their trips around this event. Due to that increased support and interest, we have added a new Friday evening session."
For the first time, brewers from Quebec, Charlevoix and À l'abri de la Tempête from Îles de la Taste of Nova Scotia members Scanway Catering, FID Resto and Eel Lake Oyster Farm are among those serving beer inspired food to festival goers. Companies from Ontario and Maine are also taking part.
